Paper Cutting Machinery

The Paper Slitting & Cutting process is one of the key and final steps in the paper manufacturing, printing, packaging and consumer product conversion industries. In this process, large rolls of paper or similar materials are converted into smaller pieces that can be used for specific purposes. The accuracy, speed, and variety of these cuts have a direct impact on the final quality, production line productivity, and waste reduction.

Variety of Slitting Processes and Devices

1. Roll-to-Roll Slitting:

These devices, such as the KFQ, GSFQ-C, and WZFQ-A/C models, are suitable for cutting large rolls into thinner rolls. Applications include:
• Writing paper, fax, store receipt, packaging papers
• PVC, PET, BOPP, aluminum and composite films

2. Simultaneous cross and vertical cutting:

Machines such as HQJ-D and HQJ-A4 are designed for the production of A4, A3, A2, A1 with very high precision.

3. Integrated cutting and packaging:

Machines such as HQJ-1100A4 and HQJ-1400A4 are capable of performing several operations continuously: cutting, collecting, packaging, counting, and unloading.
Suitable for:
• High-volume production lines
• Production of notebooks, printed paper, office forms
• Reducing manpower and increasing productivity

4. Surface and final cutting:

Models such as BDFQ-D and BDFQ-B are designed for rolls with high appearance quality.

5. Special and multipurpose machines:

Fax Paper Slitting Machine (AZFQ-700 and AZFQ-900 models):

Suitable for slitting and converting thermal paper, fax rolls, store receipts, thin paper up to 150 g/m2. These machines are designed with high precision and compact structure for small spaces.

BOPP Tape Slitting Machine (JDFQ-1300 model):

Designed for slitting packaging tape, thin plastic tapes, and thin BOPP and PVC films with high speed and high precision.

Slitting Rewinder With Inspection (JPQ-1300 model):

In addition to slitting, this machine is equipped with a material quality inspection and control system during slitting. Suitable for production lines sensitive to appearance errors.

Laminating Machine (SFJ-1100 and SFJ-1400 models):
Used to combine paper with plastic films or other paper (such as combining kraft paper with BOPP or aluminum film). Main application in food packaging, health products, and printed packaging.

Variety of processable materials

• Writing paper, thermal paper, glossy paper

• Kraft cardboard, aluminum, laminated paper

• BOPP, OPP, PET, PVC films

• Mixed materials: paper/plastic, adhesive labels, insulating films

Importance of cutting in the production chain:

  • Increase dimensional accuracy and uniformity

  • Reduce material waste and waste

  • Increase production speed and reduce downtime

  • Improve the appearance of finished products

  • Prepare for packaging or subsequent printing/assembly stages

Paper cutting is not only a technical operation, but also a strategic step in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the entire production chain. The use of modern machinery with technologies such as PLC, tension control, precise cross and length cutting, and automated loading/packaging systems allows companies to produce diverse, precise, and high-quality products with minimal manpower.
